Okay. We’re avid backpackers and rafters, and we spend a lot of time in wild lands. Cassie grew up on a self-sufficient urban farm in Albany, OR, growing a massive garden with her folks, preserving food, and watching her mom run dehydrated dinners through the dryer her dad built. Now Cassie does the same stuff—it’s in her blood.
